Parish complex of St. Justin, located in “Levagnole” in the town of Mondragone. The main part of the building which constitutes the church is made, structurally, as well as substructures, of vertical elements (pillars) that support the roof. In order to have the Church’s main space pillars free, the roof is made with a single slab, partly tilted and partly horizontal. The inclined part has been realized with unidirectional beams while the horizontal part with bidirectional ribs, all connected by a concrete block. The other seven bearings, arranged on the four sides of a square, rests directly on the mono and bi-directional ribs. The ceiling, left exposed, offers a particularly evocative view of the structural warping.
